The new television show that the WWE veteran formerly known as Braun Strowman currently hosts has gotten better ratings than recent episodes of AEW Dynamite and NXT.
In May, the one-time WWE champion was one of several company veterans who were handed their release papers. It was the second time in four years that the Wyatt Family alum was sent packing from the company that made him a household name with wrestling fans.
After being cut from the roster, there was a lot of speculation about what could be next for Adam Scherr, AKA Braun Strowman. Would he join AEW? Could he take his talents to TNA? Or would he head to a promotion abroad, like CMLL in Mexico? Instead, he did none of the above.
Last month, the veteran wrestler debuted a new USA Network show, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman. The new reality TV series, where he goes to restaurants and diners to try all the food on their menu, gets a lead-in from the latest episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday nights. And it seems that it has been very beneficial for the show.

This week, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer pointed out that the new show has gotten better than expected numbers thus far. After a strong debut, the series saw a dip in numbers in its next few episodes, which included one on Halloween. However, the following week pulled in a rock-solid 533,000 viewers.
While the number won’t jump off the page, it was higher than that week’s edition of AEW Dynamite (497,000) and NXT (528,000). The lead-in and strong advertising certainly help, but for a show airing at 10 PM ET on a Friday night, those are likely far better than what USA expected for a show with a low budget.
Strowman’s future in professional wrestling is unclear, but it seems like he might have a burgeoning career as a reality TV host.
