Braun Strowman has shared a distressing health update, revealing he was hospitalized overnight after a sudden, unexpected infection in his right knee. The former WWE Universal Champion took to Instagram to share the news, requesting prayers from wrestling fans online as he navigates this latest medical hurdle.

The infection is the second significant health setback for “The Monster Among Men” in just two weeks. On January 14, Strowman was involved in a car accident that resulted in a sore neck, though he had remained optimistic about his recovery. Despite these consecutive blows, Strowman maintained a positive tone in his social media post, using the hashtag “#IGotThis” to signal his intent to overcome the situation.

The full caption read, “Well spent the night in the hospital with an infection that came out of nowhere in my right knee. So I could use some prayers and well wishes. #ThisSucks #WhyMe #lol #painful #IGotThis #ThankYou #FeetAintFree.”

Strowman has been primarily focused on his post-WWE ventures lately. This includes his renewed television series, Everything on the Menu, and his Quintaliza Tequila brand.

Adam Scherr, known to fans as Braun Strowman, transitioned from professional strongman athletics to WWE in 2013. He eventually debuted on the main roster as the “Black Sheep” of The Wyatt Family in 2015. Throughout his career, Strowman has won several titles and records. He captured the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36 by defeating Goldberg and held both the Intercontinental Championship and the Raw Tag Team Championship twice.

Despite a release in 2021, he made a return to WWE in 2022, continuing his path of destruction until he was released again in 2025.  He has yet to make a return to the independent scene or explore other possibilities such as AEW, TNA, or NJPW. It’s unclear whether Strowman will ever wrestle again. We wish Strowman a speedy recovery.
