It looks like another WWE legend is eyeing the finish line of their career in the near future.

The last 12 months have seen some major send-offs by three WWE greats. In July, WCW icon Goldberg competed in a WWE ring for the last time. In December, John Cena brought his incomparable career to a close. Then, in January, AJ Styles officially hung up his legendary boots. Oddly enough, all three were defeated by Gunther.

Yet, more could come in 2026. There has been speculation for quite some time that legendary luchador Rey Mysterio is lining up his retirement this year. Furthermore, there have been rumors that this year’s Summerslam, in Minnesota, may be headlined by Brock Lesnar’s final WWE match.

Well, while it may not happen in 2026, we just got confirmation of another WWE great who will call it a career soon. During a new interview with Chris VanVliet, Becky Lynch confirmed that her current contract with the company will be her last, and this “is the final run” of her career.

Lynch signed a new contract in January of 2025, and chances are it is either a three or four-year deal. Meaning that around WrestleMania in 2028 and 2029, she will walk away from the business.

There have been rumblings for quite some time that the deal she signed early last year might be her last. It isn’t totally shocking since someone will need to be at home more often with the child she has with Seth Rollins. While their daughter Roux travels with them often, she will eventually need to start school, and a parent must be at home for that.

Lynch is considered the greatest female performer in WWE history and was part of the first all-female WrestleMania main event in 2019. Beating both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey to be the unified champion.
