It appears that Bad Bunny is likely to return to a WWE ring. However, his busy schedule as one of the most famous music artists in the world is holding it all up.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and the mega-star musician will forever be linked. Not only are they natives of Puerto Rico, but they tagged up in Bunny’s WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37, and then faced off against each other at a WWE premium live event in PR two years ago.
Priest has become friends with Bunny and has some unique insight into his interest in a return to the WWE ring. In a new chat with TMZ this week, the former Judgment Day member offered up a major update.
Scheduling is holding up Bad Bunny’s WWE return

“What he’s done speaks for itself. The performances, the showmanship. He basically is a WWE Superstar,” Priest told TMZ. “I’ve talked to him about [a return], and it’s just scheduling, because obviously he has a lot going on. But he still has that itch. He loves our business. He’s had more than enough time to recover since our match, so he’s ready to come.”
So if the three-time Grammy winner and budding actor really does want to get back into the ring and wrestle, when could that be?
When will Bad Bunny return to WWE?
You can definitely cross out 2025 for a Bad Bunny WWE return. With much of the year already over, and having just finished his tour residency at home in Puerto Rico, he is likely to take a lengthy vacation in the months ahead. However, WrestleMania 41 is a possibility.
Bunny released his most recent album in January of this year. There is a possibility he could be currently working on his next album, or will start the process early next year. But he does such things at his own pace and can take time away to prepare for a wrestling match.
The Puerto Rican has done a lot of acting in recent years, and filming for a movie could make him unavailable for large amounts of time. However, he is reportedly not filming anything right now. With WrestleMania just six months away, it makes sense for him to make his grand return to the company at the April event in Las Vegas.
