Wonderlic scores leaked, Josh Allen dominates the competition

Josh Allen is one of the riskiest players in the 2018 NFL draft

It’s part of the evaluation process. It might not be the end all. Some might have major issues with the questions posed in the Wonderlic test at the annual NFL Scouting Combine. That’s fine. Teams still use the test as a way to evaluate potential draft picks.

In what has been a continual theme recently, scores for this year’s Wonderlic testing have been leaked. Here’s a look at the 2018 NFL Draft’s top quarterback prospects and how they graded out.

For comparison’s sake, Tom Brady scored a 33 on his test with Aaron Rodgers coming in at 35. Does this mean that Josh Allen’s score of 37 is indicative of future NFL success? Does it also mean that Lamar Jackson’s score of 13 will drop him in next month’s draft? We’re not too sure.

What we do know is the likes of Matt Leinart, Christian Ponder, Kellen Clemens and Ryan Lindley all put up scores of 35. Meanwhile, the likes of Drew Brees, Jimmy Garoppolo and Peyton Manning all scored under 30.

In a vacuum, these scores might mean very little. What they can do is act as affirmation or confirmation bias for teams when looking at potential quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
