Anna Gret Asi scored 22 points to lead Oklahoma State to a 68-61 upset win over No. 24 West Virginia on Tuesday evening in Stillwater, Okla.
Asi also had six assists and three steals as the Cowgirls (14-14, 7-10 Big 12) beat a ranked opponent for the second time this season. Quincy Noble scored 15 points with seven rebounds and Hannah Gusters added 13 points.
In the third straight loss for the Mountaineers (22-6, 11-6), Jordan Harrison scored 22 points while JJ Quinerly added 17 points and five rebounds.
West Virginia led by two points midway through the first quarter, then Oklahoma State went on a 16-5 run that spilled into the next frame. The Cowgirls led by as many as 14 points and scored 20 points off 15 Mountaineers turnovers.
No. 14 Indiana 84, Northwestern 64
Mackenzie Holmes had 28 points and nine rebounds as the Hoosiers routed the Wildcats in Evanston, Ill.
Sydney Parrish also added a double-double for Indiana (23-4, 14-3 Big Ten) with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Sara Scalia scored 11 points and Lilly Meister chipped in 10.
Melannie Daley scored 24 points off the bench to power Northwestern (8-20, 3-14), marking the most points the junior guard has ever scored in a Big Ten game. Hailey Weaver added 11 points and four steals.
No. 21 Baylor 74, Cincinnati 55
Jana Van Gytenbeek scored a career-best 19 points off the bench to help the Bears race away from the host Bearcats.
Van Gytenbeek — a senior guard who averages just 11.3 minutes per game for her career — shot 8-of-11 from the floor and also had four assists and two steals to power Baylor (22-6, 11-6 Big 12) to its fourth straight win. Bella Fontleroy added 14 points and Dre’Una Edwards scored 10 with seven rebounds.
Cincinnati (13-15, 5-12) was led by Jillian Hayes’ 15 points. Baylor shot 40.9 percent from 3-point land while holding the Bearcats to 15.8 percent from that distance and 26.1 percent overall.
No. 23 Creighton 99, Xavier 57
Emma Ronsiek scored 25 points and was one of five Bluejays to score in double figures in a blowout win over the visiting Musketeers in Omaha, Neb.
Ronsiek also had seven assists, five rebounds and four blocks in the 13th win in the last 14 games for Creighton (23-4, 14-3 Big East). Morgan Maly added 19 points and eight rebounds, Lauren Jensen scored 16 points and Mallory Brake and Molly Mogensen scored 10 apiece.
Aizhanique Mayo paced Xavier (1-25, 0-17) with 13 points. Creighton shot 60.9 percent from the floor, its best mark this season in Big East play.
