A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces won Game 3 of the WNBA Finals 90-88 over the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The victory puts the Aces one win away from the championship title.

For Aces head coach Becky Hammon, she didn’t need to design an intricate final play to beat the Mercury. She has arguably the most capable player in the league: Wilson.

What Hammon told Wilson during the final huddle proved just how much trust she has in her superstar.

Hammon’s Simple Message to Wilson: ‘Just Go Get It Done’

During the postgame press conference, Wilson disclosed what the head coach told her in the final stretch of the game.

“Just go get it done,” she revealed while speaking to reporters.

The four-time MVP delivered, scoring the game-winning shot with just 0.9 seconds left on the clock and silencing the PHX Arena crowd.

Wilson finished with 34 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, giving the Aces massive momentum heading into Game 4 as they look to close out the series.
