WNBA All-Star Game most watched in 16 years

Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas was the most watched of its kind in 16 years.

Team Stewart defeated Team Wilson by 16 points.

Televised by ABC, the game averaged 850,000 viewers with a peak of 955,000 viewers, a 16 percent increase over last year’s viewership, according to ratings released by ESPN on Tuesday.

The event’s Friday contests also had an increased audience compared to previous years.

The Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest on ESPN had an audience of 288,000 — a 43 percent increase over 2022’s re-airing of the events.

Saturday’s game saw the Seattle Storm’s Jewell Loyd set a WNBA All-Star Game scoring record with 31 points — including a record 10 3-pointers — on her way to winning MVP as Team Stewart beat Team Wilson, 143-127.
