White Sox reportedly looking to move All-Star Avisail Garcia

As the rebuilding Chicago White Sox look to add a big fish in free agency, the team is also reportedly checking in on the possibility of trading All-Star outfielder Avisail Garcia.

This could very well be a case of addition by subtraction. Coming off a down year that saw him hit .236, nearly 100 points lower than his .330 mark in 2017, the 27-year-old Garcia would still net a nice return.

Set to potentially earn $8 million in the final year of arbitration and with the White Sox boasting a deep group of young outfield talent, moving on from Garcia could make some sense.

Chicago has set its sights on the combination of Bryce Harper and Manny Machado in free agency. If the team were to add Harper to the mix, there would be no room for Garcia in the lineup.
