Weibo Gaming sweep NRG, move to semis in 2023 Worlds

Weibo Gaming recorded a 3-0 sweep of NRG on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Knockout Stage at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship in Busan, South Korea.

Wang “Light” Guangyu of China was named the MVP after he helped Weibo post 39-, 33- and 26-minute wins on red. They advanced to the semifinals on Nov. 11, when they will face the winner of Friday’s quarterfinal clash pitting Gen.G Esports and Bilibili Gaming.

JD Gaming will challenge KT Rolster on Saturday, while LNG Esports will conclude the quarterfinal action with a tilt versus T1 on Sunday.

The knockout round concludes with the Nov. 19 grand final at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
