WATCH: Xander Bogaerts drills walk-off grand slam in 10th inning

The Boston Red Sox have grown used to J.D. Martinez and Mookie Betts delivering home runs in the clutch. On Saturday, a new hero stepped up for Boston to send the fans home happy.

After Betts and Brock Holt reached base to start the inning, Toronto opted to intentionally walk Martinez to load the bases. Toronto was willing to take its chances against shortstop Xander Bogaerts.

On a 2-0 count, Bogaerts saw his pitch and blasted it over the wall for a walk-off grand slam in extra innings.

The walk-off blast added another memorable moment to a fantastic first half for the Red Sox. With the win, Boston won it’s MLB-best 67th game and increased its division lead to four games over the New York Yankees.

A moment like this is just one of the many reasons why Boston is a co-favorite to win the World Series. This is a deep lineup with hitters who can deliver a big hit at any moment as Bogaerts proved on Saturday.
