The Virginia Cavaliers are giving Notre Dame all it can handle in South Bend Saturday, and they took a halftime lead thanks to an incredible throw and catch from Bryce Perkins to Hasise Dubois.
With under a minute left in the second quarter, Perkins made a perfect throw to the back left portion of the end zone. Dubois, with a defender hanging onto him, came down with the stellar reception.
This score gave Virginia a 17-14 lead just ahead of halftime, and it’s crystal clear the Fighting Irish will have their work cut out to win this game at home.
