The Tampa Bay Vipers scored their first touchdown Saturday, thanks in part to an incredible leaping catch by De’Veon Smith.
Smith was fairly well covered on this play. Quarterback Quinton Flowers tossed up a prayer, and Smith had to take flight to answer it. While he was getting absolutely blasted by a defender, Smith somehow hung onto the ball and converted a key first down.
A couple plays later, and the Vipers scored their first touchdown of the season.
