Legendary Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Vin Scully took a left turn during Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, as he is wont to do.
As Venezuelan native Hernan Perez stepped to the plate for the Brewers, Scully suddenly launched into a 20-second rant against socialism.

“Socialism failing to work — as it always does — this time in Venezuela,” Scully said. “You talk about giving everybody something free and all of a sudden there’s no food to eat. And who do you think is the richest person in Venezuela? The daughter of Hugo Chavez. Hello!”
Regardless of your personal view on socialism, or government in general, I think we can all agree that Scully is a national treasure.
