WATCH: Utah DT Leki Fotu forces turnover on insane takedown of USC RB Stephen Carr

Just when it seemed like the USC Trojans had all the momentum on their side, Utah Utes defensive tackle Leki Fotu did what he does best. The massive defensive tackle broke through the line, created havoc in the backfield and generated a turnover.

On second down, Fotu tore through USC’s offensive line and immediately struck running back Stephen Carr with stunning force. He then flung him around and tossed him to the ground as the intensity of the hit forced the ball out of Carr’s arms and bouncing on the grass.

The force of the hit and the quickness of the penetration into the backfield looks so similar to the iconic hit and fumble during Jadeveon Clowney’s career. While Fotu’s massive play might not garner as much viral attention, it directly led to points for Utah’s offense and got them back in the game.
