There are a lot of things Chip Kelly and his staff need to clean up as the UCLA Bruins struggle through the start of the 2018 college football season. They’ve been a mess on both sides of the ball, and while much has been talked about the offense’s issues, the defense has been just as much to blame for their winless start.
During the first quarter of Friday night’s game against Colorado, this was illustrated in a big way when Laviska Shenault Jr. burned the defensive secondary on a 57-yard touchdown reception.

There was nobody within five yards of the sophomore receiver, who was able to just waltz into the end zone after hauling in the perfect pass from quarterback Steven Montez.
