Many Minnesota Twins fans came into the postseason believing their team is cursed at Yankee Stadium. They might be right after Minnesota committed a brutal error to gift the Yankees with two runs in Game 1 of the ALDS.

Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres drilled a ground ball with the bases loaded to Twins third baseman Miguel Sano. Minnesota got the force out at second base, but second baseman Luis Arraez threw the ball low to first baseman CJ Cron and he couldn’t scoop it and it streaked by him.

Cron’s error turned an inning-ending double play that would have preserved Minnesota’s 2-1 lead into a two-run blunder to put the Yankees up 3-2.

Given the bullpen is one of New York’s greatest strengths, the Twins simply can’t afford to give away runs and fall behind at Yankee Stadium.
