It didn’t take long for the Clemson Tigers offense to demonstrate its excellence in the 2019 season. After the running game stepped up early, Trevor Lawrence hit wide receiver Tee Higgins came through for a gorgeous touchdown in the second quarter.
Lawrence dropped back in the pocket on first down and allowed Higgins time to get open down the field. He then drilled his star wide receiver on a perfect pass right over the defensive back’s shoulder and into Higgins’ leaping arms.
Higgins slipped out of a potential tackle then turned on his jaw-dropping speed at the 16-yard line to race in for the touchdown and an early 28-0 lead for Clemson.
The Lawrence-Higgins duo had even more time to work on their timing and chemistry this offseason and it’s already providing plenty of rewards. This is the most dangerous offense in college football and it doesn’t get better than this duo in the passing game.
