For the first time in his NBA career, future Hall of Famer Tony Parker took the court in San Antonio as a member of another team.

Having starred with the Spurs for 17 seasons, Parker is a legend in San Antonio and within the organization.

Now a member of the Charlotte Hornets, the four-time NBA champion received a resounding ovation during a tribute at AT&T Center Monday evening.

He was also greeted by some former teammates. That included the great David Robinson and Boris Diaw.

The festivities Monday night in San Antonio were about much more than a regular-season game. Spurs fans and the organization know just how much Parker meant to their success.

Parker wasn’t just a player for the Spurs. He was part of the broader San Antonio community. The class these Spurs showed Monday evening represented that in a big way.
