The New England Patriots were on the verge of taking a 14-0 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. But Reggie Ragland had other ideas and came through with a huge interception of Tom Brady.
Already up 7-0, the New England faced a third-and-goal from the Kansas City one. Brady tried to hit Rob Gronkowski on a play fake. But Ragland read the play perfectly and came down with a pick.
The Chiefs couldn’t take full advantage of the pick. They went three-and-out on the ensuing possession.
But even with that, keeping the Pats from taking such a commanding lead could loom large at the end.
