In a career filled with historic achievements, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady can now add 500 career touchdown passes to his Hall of Fame resume.
In the third quarter on Thursday against the Indianapolis Colts, Brady delivered a sensational strike to Josh Gordon for the 34-yard touchdown. Brady’s third touchdown pass of the game also made him the third quarterback in NFL history to throw 500-plus touchdowns.

Gordon’s score also set an NFL record, as Gordon became the 71st player to catch a touchdown from Tom Brady. A great feeling for the legendary quarterback and it probably feels even better to do it against the Colts. Brady is now just nine touchdowns of passing Brett Favre for the second-most passing touchdowns in NFL history.
The 41-year-old remains 40 touchdowns short of passing Peyton Manning for the all-time record (539), but that’s a record he could easily surpass if he returns in 2019. Brady is also less than 3,000 yards away from becoming the fourth quarterback to reach 70,000-plus career passing yards.
