The adventures of MLB hopeful Tim Tebow continued on Friday when he tripped over his own shoelaces and fell down chasing a fly ball in left field.

Tragically, the ball landed right next to him as he failed to recover in time to nab it, giving the batter a legitimate shoelace double.

Tebow’s MLB dream appears to be nothing more than that.

Kudos to him for chasing it, and what a cool thing it is that he can. But at this point there’s no doubt the New York Mets have to consider cutting the cord on this experiment.
