WATCH: Tim Tebow hits two-run homer in first professional at-bat

Tim Tebow

He’s a legend in the making. The next Babe Ruth. Generations of baseball fans will be talking about the day Tim Tebow took his first real swing as a professional baseball player.

Okay, that’s a bit outlandish.

You know what else is ridiculous? Tebow bombed a two-run homer in his first ever minor league at-bat for the Columbia Fireflies on Thursday evening.

In case you don’t believe us, here’s the video evidence.

Always hustling, Tebow was already at second base by the time the umpire motioned for him to circle the bases. Yes, the ball actually cleared the fence. A two-run homer in Tebow’s first at-bat with the New York Mets’ Single-A affiliate.

A legend might not have been made here, but this is still about as storybook as it gets for the former Heisman Trophy winner.
