Early in the Red River Showdown, the Texas Longhorns knew they needed to get creative if they wanted to beat the No. 7-ranked Oklahoma Sooners. They did just that with a wide receiver throwing a jump pass for a touchdown.
In the first quarter with the Sooners already leading 7-0, Texas dialed up the trickery near the goal line. The ball was snapped directly to wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who ran before making a jump pass to fellow wide receiver Collin Johnson for the touchdown.

It’s not often you see a team pull out the trickery like this, but Texas tried it at the perfect time and executed it for the touchdown.
These are exactly the plays the Longhorns will need to pull off the upset on Saturday and snap Oklahoma’s winning streak in this heated rivalry.
