WATCH: Taiwan Jones bloodied, exits game after being hit without helmet

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

Buffalo Bills running back Taiwan Jones was injured during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers when he was hit in the head after his helmet had come off.

The hit occurred as Jones was in the end zone trying to recover the ball following a muffed punt. Jones’ helmet came off, and then he was hit by Uchenna Nwosu.

Nwosu was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness on the play.

Jones remained down on the turf being attended to by trainers for a few minutes.

Thankfully he was able to walk off under his own power. He went straight into the locker room for further evaluation, and we assume he’s in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
