If Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool’s first NFL catch wasn’t impressive enough, the rookie receiver just made his first touchdown one to remember with an 84-yard score.

Claypool, the No. 49 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, made quite the impression in Week 1 during his NFL debut. It evidently earned him even more opportunities in Week 2, leading to a gorgeous deep shot that added to the rookie’s growing highlight reel.

Midway through the second quarter, Claypool exploded down the sideline and created just enough separation between himself and the cornerback. Ben Roethlisberger showed some early confidence in the rookie, lofting up the perfect deep pass right into Claypool’s hands. The rest is history.

Pittsburgh’s 6-foot 4 receiver is making an incredible impact to begin his pro career. He showed the ability to make absurd, leaping catches along the sideline in Week 1. On Sunday, he is showcasing his ability to make plays deep down the field. We can’t wait to see what does next week.
