New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has been one of the NFL’s top running backs since he came into the league. After seeing his latest example of insane athleticism, highlighted by a stunning jump out of his pool, it’s easy to see why he is already an icon.

We’ve already seen Barkley put his physical skills on display this offseason. From showcasing his jaw-dropping lower-body strength on squats to making absurd throws from his knees, the 23-year-old is a human highlight reel.

While his peers might have been relaxing this weekend, Barkley found a way to impress us all once more. Standing in his pool, the 6-foot running back exploded through the water and landed on the edge without even showing a hint of effort.

Admittedly, we didn’t see as many big plays from Barkley in 2019. Of course, that’s because he missed time with a high-ankle sprain and the injury limited his abilities upon his return.

With health on his side this season, we’re expecting huge things from Barkley. After exploding for 2,028 scrimmage yards in his rookie season, we wouldn’t be shocked if he hits that market again in 2020 and earns All-Pro honors along the way.
