Trailing in the fourth quarter of their Divisional Round game against the Minnesota Vikings, the New Orleans Saints got a big play from their special teams. Minnesota was lined up for a punt, but New Orleans’ George Johnson got through up the middle to block the punt.
The blocked punt set New Orleans up with a short field. Drew Brees and the Saints offense took advantage when Brees found Alvin Kamara for a 14-yard touchdown.
The ensuing PAT put New Orleans ahead for the first time in the game with 3:01 left.
