The NFL’s referees have been under intense scrutiny this season from fans for some horrendous calls on a weekly basis. Now, football fans in London are getting a taste of it after a laughable personal foul penalty.

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Calais Campbell came in to tackle Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. When Watson went down, Campbell’s arm made contact with Watson’s helmet and the referee flagged Campbell for lowering his helmet and initiating contact with Watson.

Yes, referees are now viewing a player’s forearm making contact with the ball carrier’s helmet as they lean down towards the ground as a personal foul. At this point, it feels like every tackle might be called a personal foul.
