Cincinnati Reds rookie outfielder Aristides Aquino can make a baseball field look tiny. Since coming up to replace the recently traded Yasiel Puig, Aquino continues to hit the ball out of the park at an alarming clip.
That did not change Labor Day against Drew Smyly and the Philadelphia Phillies. Just check out this homer Aquino hit in the second inning.
There was no time to react. Talk about being absolutely crushed. The Ball flew off Aquino‘s bat at 110 mph and traveled north of 417 feet.
This is just a continuation of what we’ve seen from Aquino since he was called up from the minors this summer. The youngster entered Monday’s action hitting .306 with 14 homers and 33 RBI in 31 games. A total of 15 of his 34 hits have now gone for homers.
