WATCH: Red Sox’ Xander Bogaerts just hit a ball out of Fenway

The Boston Red Sox are in need of a huge series against the AL East leading New York Yankees this week.

Taking on New York in the first of four Thursday evening, they got off to a pretty awesome start. It included Xander Bogaerts taking Yankees starter Masahiro Tanaka deep for a three-run blast in the first inning.

Though, that’s not the headliner here. Rather, it’s the fact that Bogaerts absolutely murdered the baseball. How much? He hit it clear out of Fenway Park over the Green Monster and on to Lansdowne Street.

It’s seemingly impossible to hit a ball any further or harder than that in Boston.

The ball traveled 451 feet at an exit speed of 112.1 mph.

Yeah, we can now conclude the Yankees need starting pitching ahead of next week’s deadline. If nothing else to prevent embarrassing moonshots like this. Whew.
