The longest drought in NFL history is finally over. After going 10 games and a quarter without an interception this season, the Oakland Raiders picked off their first pass.

With the Denver Broncos driving for the potential go-ahead score in the second quarter Sunday, NaVorro Bowman picked off Paxton Lynch in the end zone. It came after multiple defenders had their hands on the ball.

Leave it to the grizzled veteran and All-Pro to record Oakland’s first interception of the season. It also came against a Broncos quarterback in Paxton Lynch who was making his first start of the campaign.

Like clockwork, the Raiders would drive down the field for the first points of the game on the ensuing possession. It was capped off by a nine-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Amari Cooper.

If the Raiders do come out on top Sunday, they’ll be just one game behind the struggling Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. Imagine that.
