WATCH: PJ Washington walking without a cast on his left foot

Kentucky was without star forward PJ Washington for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, but perhaps that’s about to change.

On Wednesday, Washington posted a short clip of himself walking without the cast he sported last week.

Head coach John Calipari had said before the tourney began that Washington’s sprained ankle wasn’t a serious injury and that the cast was precautionary. It appears that prognosis was correct.

It’s not yet known of Washington will be available for the Wildcats on Friday in the Sweet 16 against Houston.

Yet perhaps Calipari gave us a hint.

Washington got his cast taken off on Tuesday. He’s reportedly traveled to Wisconsin to have his ankle looked at, per WKYT’s Dave Baker. Certainly, once his status for upcoming games is known, Kentucky will let us all know.
