New Orleans Pelicans rookie forward Zion Williamson is known for his strength and power on the basketball court. It appears that the same strength doesn’t translate quite as well to the golf course.
New Orleans’ rookies from the 2019 NBA Draft hit the links with their teammates and coaching staff for a few rounds of golf on Friday to relax and bond. When Williamson stepped up to the tee, he uncorked a massive swing that launched the ball and tore the clubhead clean off.
Perhaps golf isn’t the right sport for Williamson, or he’ll just need to set aside some of his contract to fix all his golf clubs after each swing. Fortunately for Williamson and the Pelicans, that same strength will translate very nicely to the court.
