Nick Foles Bears

The Jacksonville Jaguars have to be hoping to see this a whole lot over the next several seasons.

Making his preseason debut with the team Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins, former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles started out pretty strong.

That included the quarterback completing 5-of-8 passes to start the game. Four of those went to young receiver Dede Westbrook, who capped it off with a 10-yard touchdown catch from Mr. Foles.

We have to give new Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo here. That was one heck of a play call. He knows Foles’ strengths dating back to their days together in Philadelphia, and played right into them here.

The Jaguars are going to be relying a whole lot on Foles to act as a major upgrade at quarterback over Blake Bortles after signing him to a massive contract during the spring.

The early reviews seem pretty darn good.
