In the midst of an intense Game 5 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki was forced to leave the game after getting hit in the face off a ricochet during his at-bat.

A fastball moved too far inside and hit Suzuki’s wrist then immediately ricocheted and hit him on the right side of his face.

Suzuki stayed on the ground for several moments with trainers attending to him. Fortunately, he was able to stand up and walk into the dugout with trainers by his side.
