WATCH: Mike Yastrzemski saves game with great diving catch

Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski won seven Gold Gloves during his Hall of Fame career that spanned three different decades.

While his grandson, Mike, likely won’t accomplish the same feats with the San Francisco Giants, he made his kin proud Saturday afternoon.

With San Francisco up 8-7 and two outs in the bottom of the ninth against the Milwaukee Brewers, Yastrzemski went all out to save the game. Check out this diving catch the outfielder made.

If that ball off the bat of Yasmani Grandal had gotten past Yastrzemski, it would have easily plated Ryan Braun from first base. The Brewers would have also had a potential game-winning run in scoring position with Mike Moustakas at the plate.

Alas, it was not to be. What a tremendous play from Yastrzemski here.
