It was just two days ago that Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout hit one of the most impressive homers we’ll ever see in Oakland.
The likely AL MVP followed that up during Thursday’s matinee matchup with the Athletics. How so? He blasted an absolutely ridiculous homer against A’s starter Brett Anderson in the third inning, plating two runs in the process.
Balls are not supposed to be hit to that part of the ballpark in Oakland. It’s something even the likes of Mark McGwire and Jose Canseco didn’t do often during their days.
All said, Trout’s blast traveled 455 feet and left his bat with an exit velocity of 111 mph. Oh, and it represented his 45th homer of the season. That ties Pete Alonso for the MLB lead.
Yeah, this dude is something else.
