WATCH: Michigan LB Cameron McGrone penalized for cheap, late hit on Justin Fields

Corey Malone-Hatcher had to end his football career at Michigan due to an Achilles injury

Ohio State was marching down the field on the first drive of the second half when Michigan linebacker Cameron McGrone laid a late, cheap hit on Justin Fields.

Fields was clearly out of bounds when McGrone lowered his shoulder into the quarterback, sending him to the turf.

This late hit, combined with a second penalty called on Michigan’s defense during the play, gave the Buckeyes first-and-goal, already up 28-16 early in the third quarter.

It was also not the first time Michigan was penalized for a cheap move in this game.

Soon afterward, Fields hit K.J. Hill for a touchdown to give the Buckeyes a 35-16 lead.
