Things didn’t end well between Matt Harvey and the New York Mets. But that didn’t stop the Mets from honoring Harvey in his Citi Field return.
Prior to Monday’s game, New York paid tribute to its former ace with a video tribute.

The end in New York was certainly rough. Additionally, the relationship between Harvey, now with the Cincinnati Reds, and the Mets still doesn’t seem great. But overall, Harvey’s time in New York was quite successful.
Through the 2015 season, Harvey had a career 2.53 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. By the time his career in New York was over, Harvey posted a 3.66 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with the Mets.
Harvey also started the 2013 All-Star Game (at Citi Field) and was New York’s Game 1 starter in the 2015 World Series.
