The Atlanta Falcons are off to a stunning start in the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers, and Matt Ryan is on fire.
Completing 6-of-8 passes for 64 yards on the game’s opening drive, Ryan capped it off with a nifty shovel pass to Mohamed Sanu for a touchdown to give the Falcons an early 7-0 lead.

Feeling pressure, Ryan utilized strong footwork to move up into the pocket and appeared to be thinking about running in the ball himself. Then he saw Sanu flashing in front of him and shoveled the ball to him for the score.
So far, Kyle Shanahan’s offense is humming along beautifully. It’s looking like the Packers will need score an awful lot of points to beat the Falcons in this one. But it’s still early.
