New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore made a huge play in the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. He followed it with a donation.
With Dallas up 10-0, Amari Cooper caught a pass. Lattimore forced a fumble with his knee. Afterwards, he made a $23 donation to the Salvation Army, matching his uniform number.
Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott made a similar move on Thanksgiving, donating $21 (matching his uniform number) after a touchdown.
This is the kind of one-upmanship that anyone can get behind. We only hope to see J.J. Watt and other defensive linemen getting in on the action.
