WATCH: Marcus Peters confronts Sean Payton after NFC Championship Game

Tempers were running hot and heavy late in the Los Angeles Rams’ eventual NFC Championship Game victory over the New Orleans Saints.

This was brought to an entirely new level after officials at the Superdome missed a blatant defensive pass interference call against Los Angeles late in the game.

While New Orleans ultimately scored a field goal to take the lead. The Rams tied it up with a three-pointer of their own late in regulation before winning it in overtime following this Drew Brees interception.

Following the game, Rams cornerback Marcus Peters could be seen confronting Saints head coach Sean Payton. The situation turned pretty ugly between both teams.

The backstory is already well known. Peters and Payton had been engaging in a war of words following New Orleans’ regular season victory over the Rams — a win that enabled the Saints to gain home-field for the title game.

Obviously, Peters was none too happy with Payton’s action in the past. It also goes without saying that he was pretty pumped up following the win.

Even then, this is a bit of immaturity on his part.
