Late in the second quarter of Game 2 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, LeBron James took a blow to the jaw and promptly left the game. It was an inadvertent blow from Jaylen Brown on the baseline as James was passing to a teammate.
Here’s a look at the play that sent James off the court and back into the locker room.
James did look a bit off kilter as he walked slowly into the tunnel, but in the end it was a neck strain, rather than a concussion.
Prior to this injury, James was on fire. He dropped 21 points in the first quarter and had 24 points total.
