WATCH: Kyle Seager homers again, teammates unsure how to celebrate

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Mariners infielder Kyle Seager has been on an absolute roll as of late.

The veteran third baseman entered Sunday’s action hitting a robust .361 with five homers and 12 RBI over his past 10 games. That included a three homer game against the Detroit Tigers last week.

Seager was back up to his old tricks early during Sunday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, knocking a homer off Wilmer Font in the second inning.

The shot itself was nothing to write home about.

It traveled just 349 feet. However, the reaction of Seager’s Mariners teammates was absolutely grand. In fact, we’re not even sure how to qualify this celebration.

There has to be something to this behind the scenes. If not, the Mariners must explain themselves after Sunday’s game ends.

Seager entered this game having raised his average from .186 on July 21 to .242 in less than a month of action. He’s doing something right.
