Kris Bryant is normally a third baseman. But he showed during the seventh inning of Tuesday’s Wild Card Game that he can make a big throw from the outfield.
With nobody out and Ian Desmond on first base in the top of the seventh inning, Colorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl flew out to Bryant in left. Desmond then got aggressive and tried to tag up from first. But Bryant wasn’t having it.

We have to credit Desmond for making such a strong swim move. He was out, but he nearly got around the tag of Daniel Murphy.
But as good as Desmond’s slide was, Bryant’s throw was better.
