The New York Knicks continue to be a laughingstock around the sports world. That has more to do with the front office than some of the young talent on the court.
Said young talent includes second-year big man Mitchell Robinson, who continues to excel under interim head coach Mike Miller.
Just ask the cross-town rival Brooklyn Nets. They met up with the physical freak Thursday evening, and it did not go too swimmingly early on.
Check out Robinson throw down an absolutely ridiculous alley-oop from fellow youngster Frank Ntilikina.
The one-handed flush on a pass that was clearly behind him. What a ridiculous show of pure athleticism from Mitchell here.
Heck, even Nets fans were impressed.
Mitchell, 21, is averaging 10.1 points and 7.0 rebounds on an absurd 69% shooting from the field this season. He’s one of the few building blocks these Knicks have. This play showed us exactly why that’s the case.
