WATCH: Key detail in spat with Jalen Ramsey shows Doug Marrone has lost his team

Jalen Ramsey has requested a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who may have an even bigger problem to deal with as it relates to head coach Doug Marrone.

During Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans, Marrone and Ramsey got into a pretty decent spat on the sideline, during which Ramsey seemed to push the coach. That’s been highly publicized.

Certainly, the team could have disciplined Ramsey for his actions. But rather than take a strong stance, the Jaguars have opted not to enforce any discipline at all. That’s not a good look. Though, perhaps the Jags just want to get rid of Ramsey, knowing he wants out and knowing he’s already very publicly disrespected his coach.

The plot thickens, however. Quite aside from the fight itself, we’re going to highlight another aspect of that tiff that shows Marrone has lost his team — not just Ramsey.

As pointed out by former NFL quarterback Sage Rosenfels, a couple of Ramsey’s teammates had some “interesting” reactions to Marrone coming over to have words with the star cornerback

In particular, what stands out the most is veteran cornerback D.J. Hayden basically telling Marrone — the team’s head coach — to get back to his spot on the sideline and leave them alone.

That’s a stunning show of disrespect. It shows that Marrone has completely lost his team. It also should be a massive wake-up call for Jacksonville’s front office that it’s time to move on.
