WATCH: Kevin Na rants about length of US Open rough at Erin Hills

We all know the U.S. Open is a brutal event that requires as much excellence on the course as it does patience and fortitude by each player. The USGA always does its best to set up these championship courses to challenge players to the extreme. Apparently, it has done that and then some this year at Erin Hills, according to Kevin Na.

On Sunday, the golfer posted a video on Instagram in which he details the absurd length and thickness of the fescue at Erin Hills for the major championship.

“Every hole we’ve got this,” Na says. “Every hole.”

It is pretty brutal. And we imagine Na isn’t the only golfer who is unhappy with the conditions. The U.S. Open brings about this type of criticism most years, however, as players get testy about the way the USGA sets up its courses.

No doubt, tempers will flare in the coming days as competition runs hot. Accuracy off the tee and into the greens will be paramount to success. Of that we’re certain.
