WATCH: Justin Reid breaks Redskins’ back with 101-yard pick-six

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Trailing 10-7 to the Houston Texans, the Washington Redskins were poised to either tie the game or take the lead. But Houston’s Justin Reid had other ideas.

Alex Smith and Jordan Reed couldn’t get synched up. Reid hauled in the errant pass and took it the other way for a 101-yard pick-six.

It’s hard to imagine anything going any worse for the Redskins. On the other hand, things worked out swimmingly for the Texans.

It was the second-longest pick six in franchise history.

The touchdown and ensuing PAT put Houston up 17-7.
